Shaun graduated from the Physiotherapy Program at the University of Western Ontario in 1997 and in 2000 completed a Masters degree at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia in the area of orthopaedic physiotherapy. His treatment approach focuses heavily on educating his patients regarding the source of their pain and giving them the tools to help themselves. Hands-on manual therapy treatment and specifically-tailored active exercise also feature prominently in his treatment approach.  He is certified in Acupuncture by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. 

Shaun is a Fellow and currently  Past-President of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists and a member of the Manual Therapy Steering Committee of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Shaun mixes his clinical work with other professional and research work.  Previous activities have included presentions at the World Congress on Low Back Pain,  being a peer-reviewer for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, mentoring Masters students from the University of Western Ontairo and contributing to the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine.  He is the past editor of the Orthopaedic Division Review (a publication of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association), a previous instructor in the Health Sciences Department at Georgian College.

Shaun has extensive experience working with athletes of all abilities and continues to lecture to running and other athletic groups at a local level. 

When not in the clinic, Shaun can be found windsurfing, skiing or mountain biking around Barrie with his wife and two daughters.
