Michelle Kleiner B.Sc.PT, Dip. Manual Therapy,FCAMPT, CAFCI Registered Physiotherapist Fellow, Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists Certified, Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute
Michelle graduated from the physiotherapy program at the University of Toronto in 1991. She worked at Toronto General/Toronto Western Hospitals for several years gaining knowledge and skills in areas including orthopaedics, cardiac surgery and rehabilitation, thoracic surgery and the lung transplant program. In 1995, Michelle presented at the World Congress in Physical Therapy in Washington, DC on exercise testing of lung transplant candidates.
In
2000, Michelle received a post-graduate Diploma in Advanced Manual and
Manipulative Physiotherapy and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists. She has experience in all areas of
orthopaedics, with a special interest in spinal and shoulder disorders and the treatment of vertigo and dizziness (vestibular
rehabilitation). She is certified in acupuncture by the Acupuncture
Foundation of Canada.
Michelle is currently an instructor in the Health
Sciences Department at Georgian College, teaching exercise rehabilitation. In addition to her work in-clinic, she has worked in an industrial setting gaining experience in the treatment of injured workers.
